Santa Cruz Skateboards, located in Santa Cruz California, was established in 1973 by then owners, Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman who founded NHS Inc. Santa Cruz Skateboards has long been revered as one of the original skateboard companies that has not only survived over the years but contributed to the innovation and modernization of skateboards and skateboarding. In 2013 NHS celebrated its 40th anniversary.

"I was the girl in school that doodled all over everything and pracriced my handwriting so that it looked like 'computer font.' I've been putting that practice into good use these days with Ali K Design. When I graduated college I thought I was destined to hav ea 9-5 job. Little did I know my persistence and determination to find a job would actually turn my hobby into my dream job. Little paper signs have now turned into murals, flower doodles turned into a published book, and hanging out with friends sometimes involves recording a podcast."

Her lettering and illustrative designs have been recognized all around the world, with a focus on modern calligraphy and line drawing, though her skills range vastly in te world of creativity. She is the best selling author of The Ultimate Brush Lettering Guide and Botanical Line Drawing.

Christina MacArthur is a Utah based artist who has been creating since she was four.“ I love to create more than anything. Which usually means my laundry piles up while I create fun things for my family and friends (I wash my laundry. I just leave it in a clean pile for a bit too long, haha!) One of my passions is inspiring other people to create!”
